Christopher James Lee (born July 13, 1991 in Toledo, OH), better known by the stage name YC Banks also known as Yung C, is an American rapper working with Mudd City Ent. He received recognition with his street single “She the truth” with people such as Jermaine Dupri trying to sign the young rapper to a So So Def recording contract.

PERSONAL LIFE:
Yung C got his start in music as a teenager in after-school music programs rapping and learning about record production. Inspired by artist such as Chris Brown, Kayne West and Drake. His mother passed away in late 2009, which put him in a very tough position in life. He states her last words to him were “If you’re going to do something, make sure you give it your all!”. YC and his producer ChefBoy got right back into the studio and came up with the hit “She The Truth”. Which was a instant female smash with 40,000 views on YouTube. He decided to become a full-time artist at the age of 22. He won HOT 97.3 Artist Of The Year award in 2015.

MUSICIAL CAREER:
After “She The Truth” he released the song “IDGAF” a music video was released for promotion March 8th 2014. He went on to release many single smashes such as “Can’t Even Lie” with a music video also “Simon Says”. YC has performed with many artists like Wiz Khalifa, Lil Boosie, Kirko Bangz, Pleasure P, DJ Drama etc.. He’s worked with artists such as B Smyth, Tynisha Keli, King Trell, Doughboyz Cashout & Famous Dex.
